Andrea Garcia Reyna

Andrea Garcia Reyna, born on January 8, 1945, in Saltillo, Mexico, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2023 at the age of 78 surrounded by her loved ones. She was the beloved daughter of José Natividad García Tobias and Leonor Hernández Almanza and the eldest sibling among her 13 brothers and sisters. On December 24, 1966, Andrea married the love of her life, Eleazar Reyna, beginning a journey filled with love and shared dreams. Together, they raised their six children, Jose, Enrique, Patricia, Sandra, Ricardo, and Diana, in Milwaukee, WI. Andrea's compassion and dedication created a nurturing home filled with warmth and love. Andrea's love extended to her 14 grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. She found joy in creating and sharing traditional Mexican dishes with her family during holidays and celebrations. One treasured cooking tradition brought the entire family together at her home to make tamales for Christmas, creating lasting memories. In addition to her role as a loving mother and homemaker, Andrea found fulfillment in her work at St. Ann's Rest Home. Her compassionate nature and genuine care brought comfort to those she cared for. Spending time with family brought Andrea immense joy. She especially held close to her heart the opportunities to return to Mexico, where she reunited with her brothers and sisters in Monterrey. These visits allowed her to reconnect with her roots, creating precious memories that will be treasured forever. Andrea's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her beloved family. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Eleazar Reyna, her children, grandchildren, siblings, family and friends. Her legacy of love, warmth, and Mexican traditions will continue to inspire and guide them. Andrea was preceded in death by her father, José Natividad García Tobias, mother, Leonor Hernández Almanza; sisters María de Jesús and María Esther; brothers José Natividad, José Luis, Raúl, and José Guadalupe. She is survived by her husband Eleazar Reyna; her three sons, Jose, Enrique (Jocelyn), Ricardo (Laurie); her three daughters, Patricia, Sandra (Craig), and Diana; her sisters María Félix and Alpa Elena; brothers, Daniel, Juan Antonio, Jaime, and Enrique Armando; and her 14 grandchildren RJ, Jacelia, Martin, Claudia, Samuel, Luis Jr., Emma, Lorenzo, Sophia, Lomar, Lorena, Elena, Evangeline, and Josephine. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Andrea's life at the funeral service Visitation Tuesday May 23, 2023 at 10 AM with Funeral Service at 12 PM Noon. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI 1PM. Funeral reception 2:30-5:30 at Cudahy Family Library. In honor of Andrea's caring and compassionate spirit, the family kindly requests donations to the American Diabetes Association in her memory.
