Anthony Lee Bartlein

Anthony Lee Bartlein passed away on March 19th, 2021 at the age of 42. Anthony was born in Milwaukee in 1978. He went to elementary and middle school in Milwaukee and attended South Milwaukee High School. Lee finally reached his goal of obtaining his GED in 2020. Having been gifted many nicknames over the years, one could tell when you entered his life by what you called him. He has been known to answer to Lee, Unkle Lee, Chef Boi R Lee, Uglee and Unk. Regardless of what you call him, Lee will undoubtedly be remembered as a one-of-a-kind man who knew how to make you smile. His personality instantly made him memorable to anyone who met him. You could not meet him without leaving with a “Lee” story. Regardless of how long or short that time may have been, you will always remember those crystal blue eyes and bright smile looking back at you, instantly bringing warmth to your heart. And of course, your cheeks would hurt from laughter. His free spirit took him on many crazy adventures, as he was always ready and willing to stir up some fun! His love for his friends and family was strong, deep, and wide. Nothing could compare to the love he had for his daughter, Sierra, born in 2000. She was his everything and from the day she was born that twinkle in his eyes and the smirk on his face was all for her. He was a self-employed carpenter, learning most of his trade from his father. Lee was also an amazing artist and has created some breathtaking artwork over the years. Lee is preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony & Francis Bartlein, and Alton & Rosie Aderhold; stepfather, Wayne Mattice; and his older brother, Scott. Lee is survived by his daughter, Sierra Kathryn Schilcher; sisters, Kerrie Ann Bartlein (Herb Wittliff), Dena Jo Guziewicz (Thomas); step-siblings, Jason Aderhold, and Leslie Perkins (Angel); father, Anthony Max Bartlein (Judy Bartlein), Delbra Mattice (nee Aderhold); nephews, Draven and AaZarion; nieces, Keely, Mikayla, Tara, Abigail, Madison, Ella, Aaliyah, and AaNiyah; and his great niece Aria. The family invites you to join with them for a Celebration of Lee's life on Monday, April 5, 2021 at American Legion Post #27 (920 Monroe Avenue, South Milwaukee, WI).
