Bertha H. Elizondo

(nee Hernandez) born to eternal life July 21, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Daughter of the late Luis and Julia (nee Rodriguez Salas) Hernandez. Beloved wife of Francisco B. Elizondo. Loving mother of the late Abraham Elizondo, Victor Elizondo (Bobbi Lynne) and Cristina Elizondo. Loving Abuelita to Abraham L. Elizondo and Adam Elizondo. Loving step mother of Francisco, the late Ricardo and Roberto Elizondo. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters Luis Hernandez (+Florinda), Inocente Castillon (+Homero) Petra Martinez (+Gil), Irene Rodriguez (+Claudio). Survived by sisters Hortencia Diaz (+Pedro), Maria Trinidad Ibarra (+Arnulfo) and brother Guadalupe Hernandez (Guadalupe). Bertha would like everyone to know she loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world and had no doubt they will be successful in anything they do in life. Further survived by many relatives and friends. My father, sister and I would like to give a special thank you to Jim and Peggy Kowalski and also to Steve and Debbie Hill for being the gracious and most helpful neighbors to our parents for the last 25 years. Mother’s niece Graciela Zarate had a special place in mother’s heart. She was always the first to be there for mom and never let her down. Her son Eduardo Zarate and wife Carrie have been so helpful to us these past 2 years and we love you two with all our hearts. Bertha was a loving and caring person. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Anyone who really knows her knows that her cooking was out of this world. Company could show up at the door unexpectedly and within an hour have a meal fit for a king. Mother loved to sew and could fix any of your sewing needs and usually did for whomever asked. Bertha worked for a few years as a teacher’s aide for Milwaukee public schools. The family would like to thank Sarah, Noah and Trevor of Rozga-Walloch Funeral Home. You were kind, sympathetic and professional. We know Mother was in good hands. Visitation Friday, July 26 at the ROZGA-WALLOCH FUNERAL HOME (4309 S. 20th St.) from 9-11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
