Daniel Jay Graika

Daniel Jay Graika , of Milwaukee , passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 30 , 2025, at the age of 60 years , while enjoying his favorite passion of fishing . Dan was born in Milwaukee, the son of James and Irene (nee Banaszynski) Graika. Dan met Lynette , the love of his life and wife of 34 years in 1985. Dan had many interests and hobbies and especially enjoyed being outdoors, entertaining on their patio, or just tending to his flowers. He enjoyed watching all sports and especially The Brewers, Bucks, and Packers. He was part of a fantasy football league with many good friends. Weekends were spent with Lynette and family, or friends dining out and then ending the evening visiting or playing games. A favorite was cribbage, and he also enjoyed participating in cribbage tournaments. Dan and Lynette shared a love of travel and traveled throughout the United States and Europe with their close friends. He enjoyed organizing fishing trips to Lake Eerie and Canada as fishing was his favorite pastime. Dan also loved his animals, leaving behind his three precious cats, Gracie, Oliver, and Freddy. Dan was known as a Gentle Giant , a humble and kind man. Everyone who knew him loved him. He always had a positive disposition. Dan worked at Pavlic Vending for the last 37 years and made many friends there. Among his survivors, including his loving wife Lynette, are his siblings Jeff (Karen) Graika and Mary (Dennis Kim) Graika, his father-in-law LeRoy Jastromski, brother and sister-in-laws Mark Jastromski, Roberto and Cynthia Lozano and Greg and Kathy Jastromski, as well as beloved nieces and their spouses, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and countless other relatives and friends. Along with his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his Mother-in-law Gloria Jastromski (nee La Belle). Dan and Lynette attended Services regularly at Discover Church, so we will be Celebrating His Life on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at DISCOVER CHURCH, 7311 S. 13th Street, Oak Creek, WI 53154, followed by Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon.
