Delia Serrano

(nee Oquendo) Died peacefully December 18, 2019 at the age of 88 years. In loving memory of Delia Serrano from Agues Buenas, Puerto Rico. Mother of Enriqueta (Tita) Garcia, Maria Serrano, Carlos Ramirez Sr., Josie Flores, Cristina Rodriguez, Rosita Ambert. Delia Serrano was a loving and strong mother of 6. When she wasn't taking care of her kids she worked to put food on the table and enjoyed a game of dominos with close friends and family. Not only did she pass down her delicious food recipes, but passed down passion, soul, and culture that you will see in every one of our family members for generations to come. Some say they can remember the laughter she brought to a room, with her saying especially if you were her partner in dominos, "Jodiedienda y tres pendeja, nadie nos vas ganara". As we go into the Holidays which was Delia's favorite time year because she enjoyed seeing the family together, exchanging conversations, playing games, laughing, singing and playing guitar. Favorite Bible Verse:Salmos 91:1-2 "El que habita al abrigo del Altísimo Morara bajo la sombra del Omnipotente. Dire you a Jehova; Esperanza mia, y castillo mio; Mi Dio,en quien confiare." Psalm 91:1-2 "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Favorite Color: Pink Favorite Flowers: Roses and Lillies Loving mother of Maria (Benigno, Sr.) Serrano, Carlos (Elba) Ramirez, Josie (Jose) Flores, Cristina (Mario) Rodiguez and the late Tita (Gilbert) Garcia and the late Rosita “R.C.” Colon and Spiritual Children Cynthia Castro, Sorroro (Soky) Pagan, Maria (Loly) Mustafa and Carol Rivera-Rosado. She was the grandmother to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other family and friends. Visitation Monday, December 23 at the ROZGA FUNERAL HOME (703 W. Lincoln Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215) from 3:00-5:00 PM followed by Funeral Services at 5:00 PM. Private cremation to follow.
