Eleanor "Ellie" Hosig

Eleanor Hosig “Ellie” (nee Franceschetti) Passed away November 6, 2020 at the age of 81 years. Ever-Lovin’ wife of Carl Hosig for 59 years. Mother of Rick, Cathy, Cindy (Darrell) Gerritson and Sue (Chris) Brown. Grandma of Jenny (Matt) Nelson, Nicole (Brian) Pederson, Eric (Jenny) Hosig, Matthew (Chiara) Dublinski, Kelli (Peppe D’Alberti) Dublinski, Gage and Sloan Gerritson and Jason, Nicholas and Tyler Brown. Great-grandma of Hailey, Kyle, Connor, Logan, Brittany, Emily, Blake and Ava. Sister of Richard (Carol) Franceschetti, George (Debbie) Franceschetti and Joan (Ed) Pero. Ellie is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Chestine Franceschetti, sister Dorothy DeSautel, brothers Lawrence and Louis Franceschetti. Sisters-in-law Barbara (Robert) Best and Lois (Leonard) Drayna. Eleanor was affectionately known as “Ellie” by her loved ones. A faithful homemaker who enjoyed baking, cooking and sewing. Devoted to her family, she bestowed much of her time, skills, and participated throughout several activities her children were involved in (too many to mention!). Ellie absolutely cherished her family and adored all furry, four-legged companions. We will always remember the Italian phrases she iterated that brought smiles and laughter to any gathering, her truly unforgettable accordion talents, and her dedication to her customers in the wholesale floral business she served for 25+ years. She was a parish member of St. Roman’s for more than 50 years. She contributed her talents to the classrooms, the well-known parish festival, and Christian Women. Alzheimer’s eventually deprived her of the ability to eminently care for her family, especially her “Ever-Lovin’”. Moving forward we find comfort from knowing she’s united with our Father in Heaven and no longer suffering. We love and miss you dearly! Special thanks to Clifden Court, escpecially Felicia who endearingly called her “Momma” for their kind and compassionate care. Visitation Friday, November 13 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at ST. ROMAN CHURCH followed by the Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment Forest Home Cemetery.
