Gustav Romauld Buczek

Gustav Romuald Buczek Born January of 1935 in Poland. Went to heaven January 19, 2022 to spend his 87th birthday. Survived by his sister Ludmila Perel; His nephews Richard (Ellen) Reiter, Thomas (Marion) Reiter, Scott (Vicky) Reiter, Patrick (Mary) Reiter, Arthur Perel and Victor Perel; His niece Barbara Ghaleb; and many great nieces and great nephews. Gusty is now having a reunion with family and friends he hasn’t seen in a while including his parents Jan and Julia Buczek; His foster parents Stanley and Blanche Orbick; and his sisters Harriet (Richard) Reiter and Chestine (Jack) Knight. Gusty was always keeping himself busy. He loved to go fishing, take walks and cross-country skiing in Whitnall park, and spending time up north. He just loved the outdoors. Gusty will be greatly missed by his favorite fishing buddy Jim Dix (Rita). Gust and Jim had a lot of adventures together after retirement. There were countless pictures of their fishing hauls, and great stories of the “one that got away”. He will be missed by all his buddies from the St. Veronica Dart ball league where he was a member of the Gold team. He really cherished the times they were together. He really looked forward to end of the season Dart Ball Banquets. Gusty retired from Ladish where he was an employee for many years. We want to thank Gusty for giving us unwavering love, companionship, and happiness. He opened up his home and cabin to the whole family throughout our lives, and we will continue to enjoy his cabin for many years to come. With Gusty, family always came first. It showed in everything he did. He was always willing to help with any project any of us were doing. Gusty was a long-standing member of the Basilica of St. Josaphat where he walked to Mass every Sunday. Special thanks to Seasons Hospice at Lutheran Home (in Wauwatosa) for keeping Gusty comfortable the last two days of his life. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials to the St. Josaphat Basilica Foundation in Gusty’s name would be appreciated. The family will gather from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Tuesday, February 1 at 10:30 AM at the BASILICA OF ST. JOSAPHAT (601 W.
