Jennifer L. Berg

Jennifer Berg, daughter of Jack and Heloise DeGaynor, of Menominee Michigan passed away peacefully early Monday morning on September 27, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Donald Berg. Mother of Brian and Craig (Tina) Marking and stepmother to Sandy (Chuck), Trish (Tim), Susie and Jackie (John). Grandmother to Haley, Jeffrey, Jenny, Andy, Aaron, Kari, Kaley, Bethany, Jordan, Jenna, and Jonathan as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Scott (Maxine) DeGaynor and Eloise (the late Richard) Wolf. Special friend of Richard Yellen. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She was most proud of raising two honorable young men and treating all the kids as if they were her own grandchildren. Early on in life she was very proud of her participation in Girl Scouts. In High School she was asked to be a team leader. Not long after she was chosen to be the representative for the Bay Area District for the first National Roundup of the Girl Scouts. She was then given her own troop of 8 Girl Scouts to watch over and mentor. In her adult life she started “Jennifer’s Talent” in Milwaukee which was a modeling and talent agency. It was a great source of pride that she built a well deserved reputation as an honorable and fair agent to those involved in the Modeling Industry. After marrying Don in the early 70’s the family had a 42 foot cabin cruiser. She loved the water and enjoyed boating on Lake Michigan and yes she could pilot a 42 ft cabin cruiser. Living on the boat in the summer was an endless source of stories. They had many adventures all over Lake Michigan and got to visit family on the Michigan side very often. After boating was to be no more she bought a cottage on Green Bay and spent most of her free time there in her home town of Menomonie. The cottage truly was her happy place. Many of her happiest times were spent with loyal friends that she gathered throughout her life. The many trips and adventures that she went on with friends allowed her to be the grandest version of herself and owes a debt of thanks to those who shared her adventures. As her parents aged she took many trips to Michigan to help with the trials and tribulations of aging parents. Her husband Don died in August 2006 with her father Jack passing not long after. This left her to be able to focus on her mother and her slipping health. She was a great help to her in her last days creating an exceptional mother-daughter bond. Visitation Friday, October 1 from 4:30-6:30 PM at HALES CORNERS LUTHERAN CHURCH (12300 W. Janesville Rd, Hales Corners 53130) followed by Funeral Service at 6:30 PM, Pastor Keith Speaks, Officiating.
