Richard "Stash" Niedzwiecki

Richard “Stash” Niedzwiecki, 83, was born to Eternal Life on January 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 15, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI, Richard lived a full and meaningful life dedicated to his family, work, and hobbies. Richard graduated from Rufus King High School in 1959. He went on to build a career in the printing industry, where his dedication and craftsmanship left a lasting impression on his colleagues and clients. In 1973, Richard married the love of his life, Jadwiga “Heddy” Niedzwiecki (nee Soltysiak). Together, they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Richard was a devoted father to his daughter Tanya (Mike Pochowski) and a proud grandfather to his grandson Matthew Pochowski, who brought immense joy to his life. Richard had a passion for life and a wide range of talents. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, finding peace and excitement in the great outdoors. He loved traveling, especially to Nevada, where he created countless memories with family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time “up north” at their cottage. A skilled woodworker, Richard’s creations were a testament to his patience and talent. He also had a green thumb, nurturing beautiful flowers and plants, and was a passionate animal lover. A loyal Green Bay Packers fan, Richard enjoyed watching games and sharing his enthusiasm with family and friends. Above all, he cherished time spent with his loved ones, creating a legacy of love and connection that will always be remembered. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Edmund Niedzwiecki; mother, Josephine Niedzwiecki (née Names); and brothers Edmund “Junior” (Jane) Niedzwiecki and Gerald “Jerry” (Carla) Niedzwiecki. He is survived by his beloved wife, Heddy; daughter Tanya and her husband Mike; grandson Matthew; and extended family and dear friends who will deeply miss him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wisconsin Humane Society in Richard’s honor.
