Sharon Ann Rechlicz

Sharon Ann Rechlicz, age 77 years, of West Allis, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday 4/9 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin after a battle with cancer. She was born on September 27, 1946 to Patrick and Agnes (Weinstock) Gallagher. Sharon married Ray Iczkowski in October of 1964. Together they had son Anthony (Tony). Ray and Sharon later were divorced. Sharon married Wayne Rechlicz on August 30, 1975. This year they would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. Wayne and Sharon enjoyed traveling and they went to Hawaii, Jamaica, and Alaska, as well as various cruises. Family vacations were spent in many different states including Texas, Florida, Missouri, South Dakota, and many others. Wayne and Sharon shared 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Family was very important to Sharon. She had many nieces and nephews which she loved as if they were her own children. They called her Auntie and she had nicknames for all of them including “num-nuts” and “toots.” Her grandchildren lovingly remember the various nicknames she called them and the threat that she would “rip their faces off!” They loved Grandma very much. Sharon worked at various jobs throughout her life. She worked as a waitress/hostess for many years and always had many fond memories of this. She also worked for J.C. Penny, Target, and Rupena Foods. She also worked as a truck dispatcher and at a local nursing home. Sharon loved to crochet and made many different items with love over the years. All of her grandchildren had the honor of wearing hand-made outfits and she also made outfits for others including many neighbors. Sharon was still crocheting while she received chemotherapy at St. Luke’s. Sharon loved her neighbors and had many dear friends in her neighborhood, including the neighborhood kids who loved to draw her pictures and give her hugs. She also was an amazing cook and baker. Christmas holidays were filled with many homemade treats that she gave to her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Wayne of West Allis, WI; son Anthony Iczkowski of West Allis, WI; stepson Tim Rechlicz (Joline) of Ontario, WI; stepdaughter Robin (Joe) Haugh of Hillsboro, WI; grandchildren Jesse (Jessica) Iczkowski of Princeton, WV ; Dustin Iczkowski of Oak Creek, WI; Evan (Hallie) Iczkowski of Montvale, VA ; Dani (Aaron) Asp of Hillsboro, WI; Wesley Rechlicz (Ashley) of Hillsboro, WI; Breanna Rechlicz (Billy) of Viola, WI; Travis Haugh (Kristin) of LaCrosse, WI; Stephanie (James) Smizek of LaCrosse, WI; great-grandchildren Logan, Serenity, Seth, Addi, Alayna, Zachary, Izzy, Rosie, Aurora, and Oliver; sister Melody Platt of Baytown, TX; brother-in-law Patrick Whalen of Waukesha, WI; and, brother-in-law Thomas Rechlicz of Lake Havasu, AZ. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Jerome Weinstock, Patsy Whalen, Michaline Pershing, LaVerne Wyrwicki, and Gail Zeck; and father-in-law Lloyd Rechlicz.
