Gary J. Blankenheim Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Died peacefully July 3, 2022 at the age of 76 years. Gary was born in Milwaukee, WI in July of 1945. He was the son of the late William and Anne Blankenheim (nee Schiller). He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Carol (nee Jaeger), daughter Tracy (Jeff) Sommerfeldt and son Robert. He was the proud grandfather of Nathan, who called him “Grandpa Gare.” Gary is also survived by his sister Diane (Bruce) Coley, dear cousin Arlene Glenz and longtime friend Millie Hilse. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Gary worked at Dings Magnetic Company in Milwaukee for 34 years. He enjoyed camping in Horicon and vacationing with his family, bumming around the local sites of Milwaukee and relaxing by doing handiwork or watching classic movies and TV shows. He was there for anyone at the drop of a hat and never complained - except if he had to wait a long time, a trait he inherited from his dad. A loving husband and caring father, he made sure your car was always filled with gas and that you knew how to get to where you were going, but he could never go to sleep until you got home. He will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association are appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, July 12 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK FAMILY CENTER, 12875 W. Capitol Dr, Brookfield, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:30 PM. Interment to follow.
