Died peacefully January 30, 2022 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Nancy. Loving father of David and Christine (Gregory) Sarandos. Proud grandfather of Daniel (Rachel) Sarandos, Emily (Cody) Alexander, Luke Currier, Noah Currier and Nicholas Sarandos and great-grandfather of Evelyn Sarandos, Audyn Alexander and Nolan Sarandos. Preceded in death by his brothers George and William “Bill”. Brother-in-law of Carol (the late Anthony) Suminski and Robert Schmidt. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Phil was a retiree of United Airlines. He was a proud US Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #27. He spent his time volunteering for Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative working at a local food pantry that provides emergency food to Veterans and families of Veterans and also as a volunteer peer mentor and counselor for fellow veterans who suffer from PTSD. He was always there to take a call or meet with a veteran who was in need. "He touched so many lives." Special thanks to the staff of Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center Oak Creek and Aurora at Home Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Graveside Committal Service and Military Honors will be held Tuesday, February 8 at 12:00 Noon at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery (3800 E. College Ave, Cudahy 53110) (PLEASE MEET AT CEMETERY ENTRANCE ON COLLEGE AVE.). Inurnment will follow.
