Virginia Lee Alverio of Greendale Wisconsin Sunrise: 1944 and Sunset: Sunday, December 8, 2019. Passed away peacefully, at 8:15 a.m. at home surrounded by her family. Born to Raymond and Dorothy Grace Heatherly. Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Grace, her sisters, Kathleen, Dorothy, and Mary, her granddaughter Stephanie Alexis and great-granddaughter Ciera Enis, Survived by her beloved husband of 58 years Gilberto Sr. and her 9 children also survived by 36 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren, sisters Laurell, Patricya, and Ellen and brother Paul, brother-in-laws Chabelo and Ismael, and sister-in-laws Juana and Meri and many nieces and nephews. She married her sweetheart Gilberto Sr. on Monday, August 7, 1961, and immediately started a family she gave birth to 9 children, Gilbert Jr., Jeannette (late son-in-law Antonio Sr.), Yolanda (late son-in-law Ubencio Sr.), Rosa Iris, Roberto (late daughter-in-law Diana), Carolyn, Damari, William (daughter-in-law Laura Alverio) and Josue (Michelle Mims). Born in Chicago Illinois 75 years ago, lived there until 1976 when the family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has lived in this area ever since. She accepted Christ as her personal savior in 1974 and never looked back. She was recognized many times in her church for various achievements, she was a Sunday School teacher for a few years which she was joyous in her endeavor, she loved working with the kids. She also ran the food pantry for the community. She loved helping others, she enjoyed sewing and cooking, baking was one of her favorite pastimes. Christmas was always her favorite holiday, she loved her village and Christmas tree decorating and wrapping gifts for ALL the kids, always making sure the kids all got a gift. she helped out whenever needed she also enjoyed working with seniors. She worked as a CNA and a personal care worker for quite a few years, All while raising a big family, trying to keep us in line, it was a challenge but she didn't back down. “She will be truly missed” We would like to thank all the ICU nursing staff at St. Lukes South Shore Hospital for taking exceptionally good care of our mom/wife/grandma/and great-grandma. Visitation Thursday, December 12 at the Rozga-Walloch Funeral Home (4309 S. 20th St, Milwaukee 53221) from 4:00-8:00 PM with Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Meet at the Funeral Home Friday, Dec. 13 at 10:30 AM for procession to Arlington Park Cemetery for Committal Service at 11:30 AM.
