Clement G. Wagner "Clem"

Born to Eternal life Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the age of 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Nancy Wagner (nee Mueller). Loving dad of Mark (Margie) Wagner and Linda (Joe) Romanowski. Proud grandpa of Kristyn (Brent) Chesmore, Abby (Justin) Streicher, Anthony (Bree) Wagner, Jennifer Wagner. Great-grandpa of Camden and Maxwell Streicher. Clem is preceded in death by his brother Jerome Wagner and sister Doris Baab. Clem is further survived by a niece, nephews, and other friends who were like family. Clem graduated from Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee then enlisted in the US Army in 1946 where he reached rank of Corporal. He served on both the ski patrol and military police units. He met his future wife, Nancy, at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee and they were married in 1950 at St James Episcopal Church in Milwaukee where they raised their children and Clem served on St James vestry for many years. Clem retired from the Milwaukee Police Department after 37 years of service starting at District 7 then transferring to District 4. In “retirement”, he drove transport for Milwaukee County and St Lukes Hospital. Clem was a life saving swim instructor for the Boy Scouts of America and volunteered at West Allis Memorial Hospital as a Front Entrance Ambassador. Clem and Nancy loved to travel and spent their retirement enjoying adventures on the road, many times with his brother Jerome and wife Betty and friends Bob and Ruth Kraft. They also loved spending time with family and friends. In his spare time, Clem enjoyed golfing and hunting with his son Mark, puttering on house projects and was an avid woodworker (constructing most projects without nails). He was very social and was known for his sense of humor and boisterous laugh. He always had a story to tell – all you had to do was make eye contact and he’d be happy to entertain you! Clem loved the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers and listened to most games on the radio while he relaxed. A special thanks to his St Thomas of Canterbury church family, special cul-de-sac neighbors, and his lunch companions and staff/drivers at Kelly Senior Center in Cudahy for watching over him for us.
