Darlene E. Schultz

On February 1, 2022 at the age of 88, Darlene was called home to the Lord. She was reunited with her parents Fredrick and Evelyn, her three brothers Marshall, Raymond and Fredrick Jr, her love Gerald Hallberg, her first born Cheyenne, and infant son Mark Anthony. She is survived by her children Gregory Schultz, Geraldine (Jayce) Hallberg, her grandchildren Dennis (Amy) See, Orlander Lesure, Orlandrea Lesure (Monchez Williams), Lonzolia Lesure, Capreshia Lesure, as well as many great and great- great grandchildren. A Milwaukee native Darlene was born on September 3, 1933 to Fredrick Zethner and Evelyn (nee Bierbach). Wise beyond her years, and a social butterfly who could entrap anyone with her charismatic wit. She was married at 18 to Martin Schultz; who together had Cheyenne in 1952, and Gregory in 1965. She then met the love of her life Gerald Hallberg in 1968. They had 14 wonderful years together before Gerald lost his battle with colon cancer in 1982. Together they had Geraldine Hallberg in 1977. Darlene was a wonderful mother who always put her children first, and tried to see the silver lining in any situation. Her love of God, and animals extended to even the smallest of creatures and she made sure to instill that into her children as well. Blessed with "the gift of gab" she made friends with all walks of life. On many occasions you could find her out with her best friends Peggy and Wanda on their coffee dates or dancing and enjoying live music at the Blue Canary or Litkes Ol’ Place in Milwaukee. Darlene loved music and would often serenade those around. Her favorite being "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. She didn't care what race, color, gender, or sexual orientation you were if you needed help Darlene would be there with open arms. Strong willed; her tenacity helped carry her through the many trials and tribulations of her life. Fearless, caring and funny with these qualities and so many more she paved the way for her ever growing family. A true one of a kind that will be greatly missed but never forgotten. The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff members at Froedtert Medical Center and Horizon Hospice. For taking great care of Darlene in her final days as well as their compassion and kindness to the family during this difficult time. Memorial Visitation Friday, March 4 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the ROZGA-WALLOCH CHAPEL followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM.
