George S. Foszpanczyk

George S. Foszpanczyk was born to Eternal Life on April 15, 2024 at home with his loving family at his side, at the age of 77 years, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Dementia. George loved his family and was a man of few words. Beloved husband of Helen, his loving and devoted wife of 56 years; dear father "Tata" to Edward (Amy), Robert, Krysia (Seth) Watters, and Diana; proud Dziadzia of his adoring grandchildren Aiden and Samuel Watters, Dear brother of Richard (Lola, son Peter and their late daughter Cindy) Foszpanczyk, Cherished son-in-law of Vera (the late Stefan) Soltysiak; further survived by his Aunt Irene Slivicki, brothers-in-law Richard (Pam) Soltysiak and Henry (Vickie) Soltysiak, sisters-in-law Heddy (Richard) Niedzwiecki and Lola Soltysiak, nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends. George was born in Germany to the late Franciszek and Helena Foszpanczyk. At the end of World War II, he emigrated with his family to Curitiba, Brasil, then to Canada and from there to Cudahy, WI, eventually settling in Milwaukee. After graduating from Cudahy High School, he worked at Ladish Co. for 47 years until his retirement. He loved being outdoors enjoying nature, especially at the family summer home in Crivitz, WI, and enjoyed picking mushrooms and berries, fishing, tinkering outside and listening to polka music. He loved the game of soccer and was active in the Polonia Sport Club where he volunteered, played on championship teams, coached for many years, and was respected by many lifelong friends throughout the league. He was recognized for his achievements in soccer by being inducted into the Wisconsin Soccer Hall of Fame. A special thank you to the staff at Horizon Home Care & Hospice for their kind support.
